The Minoans were famous for their brilliantly colored and elaborately woven textiles; the designs here are as authentic as I could make them, given the sometimes fragmentary nature of the source material, and are taken from a variety of originals such as frescoes and statues. The colors are mostly based off the somewhat limited fresco palette, which, although pigments don't give quite the same types of colors one gets with natural dyes, is still a perfectly plausible range. I've added some purple outfits, too, assuming use of the murex dye.

The bare-breasted designs are authentic; I've included the less-distracting bloused ones too (which are also authentic, just a lot less common) if you prefer them.

For now they're in light and medium skin tones. Click on the picture to download the zip of each individual dress texture; click on the link below each picture for the zip of the mesh itself. Since Minoan dresses were generally the same shape, I'm only using a few meshes here, and you will only need one copy of each. The B209fafit mesh is a Maxis one from Makin' Magic, so if you have that expansion pack already you don't even have to download that one.

The artwork for the heads can be found on the Heads page.

FIT:

B209fafit by Maxis (MM)

From a fresco at Thera; the colors are identical to the painting. The original had these sort of bat-wing sleeves, but the mesh wouldn't allow for it, so they're closely fitted. Light skin tone.

B209fafit by Maxis (MM)

Variation on the last one for medium skin tone.

B209fafit by Maxis (MM)

After a votive terracotta dress found at Knossos; the design is of saffron crocuses, which the Minoans harvested for the spice and for dye. Light skin tone.

Same, but in shades of Tyrian purple, made from the murex shellfish. Medium skin tone.

BJ05fafit by Jerome

With blouse for medium skin tone. Action pose!

BJ05fafit by Jerome

After one of the saffron frescos at Thera, though the jacket was originally yellow. I don't remember now why I changed it to blue, but the skirt is exact. Light skin tone.
