Thanr is an Etruscan Goddess of Childbirth and Midwives. She is usually shown with Her associates Thalna and Ethausva assisting in scenes of divine or miraculous birth. Like Her companions, Thanr is sometimes shown with great wings, and is usually richly dressed. She is depicted on two mirror-backs (commonly decorated with scenes from myth) steadying the newborn Menrva (Athene) as She is born fully grown, fully clothed, and fully armed from Tinia's (Zeus's) head.

Thanr's name means "scarcity" or "subtlety", in opposition to the Goddess personifying plenty, Ops.
