Hestia, one of the twelve Olympian Gods, is the Greek Goddess of the hearth and hearth-fire. She is the eldest of the children of Rhea and Kronos, and one of three virgin Goddesses (with Artemis and Athena) of Olympos; Her name means 'Hearth'.

As hearth-Goddess, cooking (especially bread baking), and the family meal were Hers as well; and on a community scale She is also the Goddess of the sacrificial fire, and the feast cooked from the sacrificed meat.

This piece was done as a commission! If you're interested in Goddess art of your own, info on commissioning me is here.
