 
Banba is one of three sister Goddesses after Whom Ireland is named, though Her sister Eriu is perhaps more famous nowadays. She has aspects of an ancestor Goddess, and was the first of the three sisters to greet the invading Milesians, and request that the land of Ireland be named for Her. Her name remains as a poetic name for Ireland. She is one of the Tuatha De Danann. Done as a commission. |
