Peitho is the ancient Greek Goddess of persuasion and seduction, both of the sexual kind and the rhetorical kind. She is considered an attendant or companion of Aphrodite, naturally enough. I have shown Her here beckoning and draped in much gold jewelry; the ancient Greeks considered gold necklaces, especially, to be a bit suspect as far as persuasion went; perhaps that is symbolic of Peitho being not above a little bribery, or "polishing up" Her arguments to make them look a bit better or more convincing. I have also (hopefully) made Her hair look like poured honey, to sweeten things up a bit, and also given Her decent biceps, in case She has to strong arm anyone to get them to come around. I suspect She may be a bit of a trickster. Done as a commission. If you're interested in your own, go here for details. |
