Bat is an ancient Egyptian cow Goddess Who is very old indeed; She likely dates back to Predynastic times. That may be Her on the Narmer Palette, a carved (probably ceremonial) cosmetic palette that dates to about 3100 BCE. She may also be featured on the Gerzeh palette of about the same age, shown as a simplified cow's head with stars at the tips of Her ears and horns, with another on the forehead.

Bat's name comes from the Egyptian word for one type of soul, the ba, with the feminine ending -t. She was linked to Hathor and in time Her worship was absorbed into Hathor's.

Digital art in the style of an Art Deco poster, as that art movement was heavily influenced by ancient Egyptian art anyway.
